Objective

Obtain the appropriate limited-term Indiana driver’s license using qualifying immigration documentation and DHS SAVE verification.

Immediate route

Use the pending I-589 USCIS receipt/biometrics documentation now and ask Indiana BMV to run DHS SAVE verification.

The expired EAD should be supporting history, not the sole basis of the renewal request.

Stronger route when the I-485 receipt arrives

Add the I-485 Form I-797C receipt notice immediately when USCIS issues it.

Before using it, compare the A-number printed on that notice with the canonical A-Number Map.

If initial SAVE verification does not resolve

Ask BMV to continue through additional SAVE verification using the enclosed USCIS documents.

Requested BMV action

Do not rely on
